i was not there on Saturday night but i have been involved behind the pit wall for a number of years at TPCR and if a car gets a mechanical defect flag it is always due to a safety regulation not a direct attack to a driver or team with in the race.

yeah the Tyre you want to go flat is the front left but it only takes a large rut or hitting the cushion the wrong way and the car is airborne and injuries will follow or in an extreme cases maybe even the death of the driver.
(now we don't want that to happen,but it can)

these midget go extremely fast with some cars exceeding well over the 120kph in a corner.now i have seen the best and worst in Australian speedway racing. but i have been to many driver briefings in the pits were this exact issue is brought up and what will happen if it does , safety is their main priority and always will be .

the safety of the drivers is always the chief stewards number 1 priority and their 2nd is to make the show go on for the paying fans watching.......

what gets me is people post on here thinking they know more than the person running the race... trust me it is not easy. agree with disagree with is your choice but bag them out on a public site is wrong. it is these people who give up their free time and time away from family to do this job.
