The Maryborough Sporting Car Club in conjunction with the Fraser Coast & District Formula 500 Association are happy to announce that the Maryborough Speedway will host the Fraser Coast Formula 500 Title on 6th February, 2010.
What a great night it will be with V8 Dirt Modifieds contesting the Queensland Title, along with the Street Sedans 50 lapper and the Nostalgia Sedans.
Format
Heats – 10 laps
Two rounds of 10 lap heats
(The draw will be done and printed in the official race program, so drivers must nominate or they will start ROF)
Stars Dash – 10 Laps
Top 10 Qualifiers will line up reverse grid (eg. highest point scorer starting from the rear)
Finishing positions or the Stars Dash will determine the top 10 starting positions in the A Main
The winner of Stars Dash will receive $250.
A Main – 20 laps
Top 24 automatically qualify for the 20 lap feature race.
Top 10 starting positions will be the finishing order from the Stars Dash.
The remaining starting positions 11th – 24th will be determined by the points earned from the
qualifying heat races.
Prize Money – A Main
1st - $500 plus trophy
2nd - $400 plus trophy
3rd - $300 plus trophy
4th - $200
5th - $100
All other cars that start the first heat will receive $60.
Based on 25 cars a total prize pool of $2950 will be paid out on the night.

Nominations close on Friday 29th January, 2010 at 4pm.
