Youthturn Late Model Under Construction.

Well with the off season well and trulely upon us the #3 "Youthturn Toowoomba", "Pegasus roof painting", "Payton Kitchens" Late model is undergoing some extensive work in preperation for the upcoming championship for late models within SEQLD.
With conformation from BIS that the late models will be running at thier race track next season team owner Graham Storey has given the green light to make some changes to the Allan Butcher built racer.
The GM engine block will be replaced by a "Dart" little M block and with the addition of a new crank, rod and piston combination horsepower wont be a problem for the #3 Late Model.
A quickner will be added to the steering and some other goodies to make the "Youthturn" race car a little more driver friendly.
A longer yoke will be added to the tailshaft so as to allow the four bar rear suspension to do its job which should see a set up in the rear end that will help it "get up on the bars" therfor getting the extra horsepower to the clay.
All the mods and engine rebuild are taking place at Speedway Solutions and are well and truley on track at this point in time.

The exitment is growing within the team as we get closer to the first practice meeting in early September.
Season 2009-2010? Bring it on!!

I would like to thank the following sponsors for their support.
Team owner Graham Storey from "Youthturn Toowoomba", "Pegasus Floor painting" and "Payton Kitchens" Toowoomba.
Without the support of these people and thier local bussiness' it would not be possible to go racing next season.

Cheers sincerly Russell Bonsey. #3

Hi John, Although the car is based out of Toowoomba and team owner Graham Storey is heavily involved in the community up there it is currently down here with me in Brisbane. However the Youthturn #3 late model will be making regular appearances around Toowoomba at varios display's etc.

If everything goes to plan the #3 machine will be making an appearance at Charlton Raceway in Toowoomba at one or more of the scheduled preseaon practice nights at the venue. This will give the team some exposure to the sponsors and allow them to get a hands on feel for the team.

We also plan to attend a practice night at Maryborough. There is three race meetings at the Maryborough speed bowl this season inc the QLD title which will be one of the hardest fought titles for late models in QLD history.

We will be attending at least one practice at BIS early in September... If venue scheduling permits we will be at all these venues for "shake down" during the 2009-2010 preseason.

Hope to see you trackside soon John.

Cheers Russ #3 Youthturn Late Model.
