Great Work MMS.

Tojo (Ryan McKenna) is pulling out all stops to cement this event as a annual event.

This event was listed in the NASR Victoria start of season calendar booklet and is shaping into being a beauty!!

Expect Australia's best Lightning Sprints to be at this event on March 20th!

Re: Geoff Moule Memorial

Garry, it is a lightning sprint meeting, open to every Lightning sprint in the country, our class is called Lightning sprints. It is being funded by the MMS club and Nyora along with a few sponsors.

Hope this clarafies a few things.

Re: Geoff Moule Memorial

From an outsiders point of view (NSW), its such a shame this event and the Vic Title can't be on seperate dates... Its exciting to see new venues, new drivers, new titles and of course great prizemoney on offer for all Lightning Sprints Teams!!!

Hopefully in moving forward next season, both parties can put the sport first so more cars can compete all across the country in as many prestigious events such as these 2...

Awesome job for organising great coin too...

Cheers,

A Raw

hhr .

IT IS A MINISPRINT MEETING AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LIGHTNING SPRINTS AS THE VICTORIAN LIGHTNING SPRINT TITLE IS ON THIS NIGHT.

IF MMS WANT TO BE CALLED LIGHTNING SPRINTS THEY NEED TO FOLLOW THE PROTOCOL SET DOWN BY THE NATIONAL LIGHTNING SPRINT BODY.

Re: Geoff Moule Memorial

Garry im not quite sure which part of this you dont understand so i will break it down for you. The class is now called Lightning sprints, the race has absolutely nothing to do with the Victorian Lightning Sprint association, which I am a member of, as they chose not to support the event and actualy programmed against it. No one has said anything about the Victorian Lightning sprint associaion being associated with this event what so ever so please stop saying its not a Lightning sprint event and confusing people, mainly yourself.

Please take you issues with the staus of the Lightning spints to another thread, this thread is merely to promote the event and the class which you seem hell bent on destroying and has been scheduled for the last 10 months.

It would be appreciated if you could show some respect to the Moule family and stop playing these childish games.

Re: Geoff Moule Memorial

So NASR have approved two meetings for the same class in the one state??
I would have thought they would be more alert than to do that to the detriment of "their" new class?

How can this be called a Lightning Sprint Meeting when this meeting is on none of the Lightning Sprint Calenders Throughout Australia and the only place i found this meeting is on the MMS Calender. Yes you are a member Ryan of VLSA but you also need to tell the people that are not members of the Lightning Sprints they are not able to race as per the rule and regulations associated with the Lightning Sprints. Besides the MMS aren't afilliated with the Lightning Sprints nor would most of their members. Here is a little lite reading for those that may be thinking of attending. THATS IF THIS IS TRUELY A LIGHTNING SPRINT ORGANISED RACE MEETING THEY NEED TO READ VERY CAREFULLY. And in saying this I mean no DISRESPECT to the MOULE family only stating some facts.

In general
- Lightning Sprints are to be a member of a state association (the only affiliated association in
Victoria is Victorian Lightning Sprint Association)
- They have paid the full fees to the Australian Lightning Sprint Association
- They comply to the specs of the 08-09 rules of either V6 Sprints, Litre Sprints, Tasmanian Mini-
sprints or Australian Minisprints. (Note that VSC did not table their specifications at the national
AGM for inclusion into amalgamation, the specs tabled by MMS representatives had never been
used in any race meeting therefore were not accepted by ALSRA.
The Lightning Sprint specifications also clearly state what is allowable to be used as a trial engine
and what criteria that engine must adhere to. If a meeting is determined to be a Lightning Sprint
meeting and any car, trial engine or not, races outside of the specifications the driver of that car
may be subject to penalties and fines as setout in the Australian Speedway Racing Rules &
Regulations.

Cheers

Re: Geoff Moule Memorial

Will you blokes have a good look at yourself, i'll never miss primary school while i'm racing speedway thats for sure. Scott like i said to Gary, it is open to every car in the country that fits our specs, call them mini sprints, litre sprints, V6 sprints who really cares. Dont say there is no dis respect because that is exactly what you blokes are doing.

I cant imagine how stupid this looks to outsiders who look on, and dont want it to contine on on this thread, its about the race thats all i care about.

Nyora has programmed and organized the event for "lightning Sprints" the MMS club is mearly a backer finacially.

Like i said, start a new thread and take ya crap there.

You guys have done enough to try and decimate this race, which many people are emotionally involved so be very careful as to whos toes you are stepping on.

Love ya work Ollie, you could take home $2500. Hope a few more of the old 1200's come out to support the event.
