It's the Speedcar Super Series Schedule!

SSS Director Ken Jenkins is pleased to announce the schedule for the upcoming 2009-2010 Speedcar Super Series; a thought out calendar covering seven tracks throughout Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

In what is set to be another stellar season of Speedcar racing, the SSS heads north to the sunshine state for the opening show at John Kelly's, Brisbane International Speedway in October, weaving its way around the country towards Murray Bridge for the grand Finale on the 2010 Easter long weekend.

“There has been plenty of interest from promoters which is fantastic news for this division. In fact, we have had to increase the SSS from 6 to 10 race nights this season” Ken said earlier today, “we have also made decisions to accommodate the drivers back pockets by offering two double-header shows to help reduce the travelling costs involved in racing on a national level”. Further details of the two shows including prize money and the race format will be released at a later date.

"We've had a tremendous response to the series from all Speedcar clubs across Australia and a number of queries from New Zealand" concluded Jenkins. "Drivers have already committed from a number of states with some of the best drivers in support of the SSS!”

West Australia’s Scott Glazebrook has already announced he will be racing the series in the Brendon Fox owned N9 Spike/Esslinger, another driver who is always on the pace.

“This looks to be a fantastic year with an excellent assortment of drivers racing the entire championship. Some drivers have raced at these tracks a number of times, but it will be an even playing field when we arrive at Premier Speedway!"

In a first for the Speedcar Super Series, Warrnambool's Premier Speedway is scheduled in for Speedcar competition, a race meeting initiated by the diligent (newly appointed) VSDA committee member Dean Kavathas. Held the Saturday prior to the Australian Speedcar Championships, this is one meeting not to be missed!

I see western australia is still bein left out of this schedule once again
before anyone wants to argue theer reasons y it HAS, IT isnt that hard at all to work a round in and around the magic man 34

Cant wait for that!! then the aust title the week after....awesome!!

Totally agree as it makes it difficult for drivers who want to support the Figs race and try and get their car back to go to Murray Bridge the following week for the SSS.Having a round at Kwinana around the time of the Figs would be great!

Get the motorplex or other WA tracks to work on it.



SSS dates were locked, loaded and were ready to be released a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the schedule needed to be recently adjusted as the FIGS race date was set with a clash against the series. KJ altered the SSS so all competitors had the chance of running (and winning) both blue ribbon events. (GO NSW!!)



I CAN NOT WAIT!!!! Is it the Premier series at Premier speedway??? Bring it on!

Hey Picko, No probs there will be lots of activities that week, a Birthday, tour of Spuds workshop & a drink with him, drive around Melbourne with "Cowdee" (that is an experience you will never forget) and a bed at the Tucksters.
Thats a start and we can build on that, anything is possible, nothing is a problem.

What - no Rocky - will have to save for Maryborough now. No Toowoomba either ?
