2010 Australian Speedcar Title @ Avalon Speedway
Does anyone know what sort of listing is going to show up for next years title in February. I know we are still 4 months out.

On a NZ forum it was mentioned 4 x NZ champion (maybe more actually) Michael Kendall is trying to come out for it.

On a Saturday evening in December 1934, the gates of Olympic Park in Melbourne swung open, and on that 15th. day in December, a motley looking collection of race cars entered onto the cinder track to do battle. They would be called midgets, and so began an exciting form of dirt track motor racing that would, like our American cousins, spread to every major capitol city in Australia 75 years ago, 18 of these home-built racers competed for the very first time. Their names will forever go down in Australian history. Bill Allen (who brought this sport to our shores), P. Bouker, Lance Burgess, George Beavis, Fred Curtis, Barney Dentry, Bob Finlay (our first Australian Champion), Arthur Higgs, Les Gough, Bruce Leckie, G. Malone, J. Farmley, A. Shaw, George Saville, Charlie Spurgeon, Bill Thompson, Arch Tuckett, and Cec Warren. This years Australian Championship in Melbourne will celebrate the 75 years of midget racing history in Victoria and Australia.

Bill, If on that day, that it all started and these little cars were called MIDGETS,Who was the " TOSSER " that changed the name to Speedcars!! I say get back to calling them Midgets officially.
