The SSS Spectacular Heads to Speedway City!

It's on again! The masters of Australian Midget Racing slide into Speedway City SA this Saturday Night for round 7 of the 9 round travelling show!

The battle has been intense at every SSS round with a leader board full of talented speedcar drivers from across the country and for this meeting, New Zealand!

With the entire pack pushing forward to rightfully claim their spot in the Speedcar History books - this 30 lap SSS feature race is set to entice all in attendance at Speedway City!


TRACK FACTS:

Speedway City Home Of The Sprintcar Nationals

Length on Pole: 430m
Track Width : 16 metres
Track Camber : 1.2 metres
Track Surface: Clay Based
Track Address: Supple Road, Virginia

COMPETITOR INFO:

* Compulsory drivers briefing at 4.30pm.

* Cars must be on the track for engine starts and wheel packing at 5.30pm sharp.

RACE FORMAT:

Time Trials
2 Heats (inverted time trial placing) per driver
Pole Shuffle
B Main
30 Lap Feature

I heard there had been some changes to the customs etc. for cars going in & out of the country from 2010.

Such a shame.

Speedway City Set For Sss Showdown!

Despite six seriously intense rounds to doubt, it's a big surprise to some that the Speedcar Super Series Championship remains open for the taking! What does that mean for race fans? It means one hell of a show is set for South Australia's Speedway City this Saturday night!

In fact Nathan Smee leads the pointscore by a mere 169 points to fellow Sydneysider and three-time SSS Champion Mark Brown! These two will without a doubt be on the hammer come Saturday.

But looking to put a dampener on the duo's reign are the likes of Troy Jenkins of NSW, recent AGP winner Keith Giles and his fellow West Aussie Scott Glazebrook, QLD's Adam Wallis, Grant Draney and Mick Harders plus home-town heroes Ben Dillon and John McKay to name but a few!

This show kicks off a fantastic three weeks of Midget racing with round seven at Speedway City followed by round eight of the SSS at Premier Speedway in Warrnambool on Saturday 13th February; culminating at Avalon Raceway for the Australian Speedcar Championship the weekend after!
