Well it seems the site has made the infamous sprintcardaily.com twice today. I thought I should reply to the allegations in the latest posting regarding the banning of a member here on AustralianSpeedway.com.

I have been accused of being dictatorial, belligerent and autocratic and our moderators are being accused of over moderating. Well, if that is how people see me then so be it.

I, along with our moderators, try and run this site so it is suitable for all ages and walks of life. However, there is an increasing number of users that persist in trying to bring the site into disrepute and continually attack other users, drivers, promoters and track volunteers. During these attacks their facts are usually wrong, off the cuff and totally unsupported.

This site is all for users posting their opinions, constructive criticism or suggestions while enjoying their time on the site. The problem is this particular bunch of users throw all that out the window and come up with things like threats to other posters etc.

The particular user that was banned generated the most discourse this site has ever seen. A large percentage of the user base complained as did track officials, promoters and the like. The user was given numerous warnings all of which they chose to ignore. The user was also given the option of leaving the site of his own accord which he refused to do so, in the end, I executed my right as site owner to remove them via banning. If this is dictatorial, so be it.

One other "fact" I must address in the said article was the inference that we treat adults like children. I am afraid to say that there are a number of adults on this site that act alot worse than my own 8 & 10 year old children.

I invite the writer of the article to start his own forum and manage 2000+ active users without moderation. I suspect that would be a fairly difficult job.

PCR FAN 2 has had the boot coming for so long now and I tyhink it has taken quiet a bit of restaint from RD not to have done it ages ago.

As for what media a person chooses to place their Press realeases in, Shouldnt that be up to the person doing them and their Customers??

Yeah ok sometimes the mods get a bit trigger happy but I think that if they didnt then some of the fools would just get out of control.

Sad Really Sad to have to write an article on a forum user ! Sorry, i thought sprintcar websites etc are about race meetings, drivers etc..Not about forum users ! Pathetic..

in all honesty.. it just goes to show how much people in australia actually rate aus.com as a massive publicity scene. just keep up the good work. if ya get banned from here... and you complain, then you must not have speedway at the fore front of your ambitions. step back for a bit and have a look at the sport. and try and make it better every time you comment about it... not bring the sport down, even if there are some major issues that you think need to be brought to the attention of people involved. talk to the appropriate parties, not make it public untill you have exhausted all avenues....
