A SUCCESSFUL speedway season was not enough to prepare Jeff Judd for being awarded 2009 NOS Sprints best and fairest driver.
The Camperdown man won the award, voted on by fellow drivers in the class, at the NOS Sprints Drivers Association of Victoria's presentation dinner in Geelong on the weekend.
"It was totally unexpected," Judd said.
"You have a good season, but you never know until the actual (presentation) night if the other drivers thought the same.
"It's a big honour."
