I admire him, he is adaptable to most sports, and not scared to give anything a try. I like the man.........

Yeah, I get your point. That's a pity, because if V8 Supercar drivers got seat time in late models (or supers or whatever) they'd be even better suited to NASCAR IMHO.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm a huge fan of Marcos and, yes..he is versatile. What I 'specially like is his respect for the traditions and history of NASCAR. It could've spoilt it for everone if he'd acted like an upstart and tried to skip his "apprenticeship" in the truck and Nationwide Series.

But, does anyone see the irony of Marcos Ambrose driving a late model?
Don't get me wrong, I think he's doing a decent job in NASCAR and I barrack for him every race.
Hey, he's an Aussie and he has almost single-handedly made the Aussie motorsports press (and the mainstream press a little bit) sit up & take notice of NASCAR.
But, isn't it ironic that, before he went to USA, I doubt Marcos even knew what a late model was; much less know we race 'em in Oz?
The Vosbergens, Blakes, Ludlows, Randalls, Tatnells, etc., etc. of this world must look on with a wry smile on their faces, don't you think?
Hopefully he knows what a Late Model is now because he is now a Late Model team owner.

From a promotional perspective, ONE HDs coverage was priceless for Late Model racing. Now would be a particularly good time for various promotional activities from all the Late Model clubs, such as presence at the PCR ‘gala’ launch, or pre-season category launches at car shows or public events – basically to keep Late Models in the public eye, as well as educating fans about Late Models, what they are, where they compete and who races them.
