Thx for the info re: replay. I had a phone call from my bro up in Darwin during the race, and he was asking all these questions about what it was for, why they were racing on dirt, etc, etc. Couldn't answer any of them as I didn't know about the race.

Now that I know it's being replayed, I have set the DVD recorder, so unless there is a late program change, I'll have it on disc by 8am Sunday morning.

If you enjoyed the Prelude (as it seems most people did) please send OneHD an email expressing your satisfaction (and requesting more speedway!) to;

one@networkten.com.au

I am sure a quick couple of lines expressing how much you enjoyed the coverage would go along way to their future programming schedule.

I thought it was great, but the commentators weren't given enough info about dirt track racing to really get dirt track across, however, the event's built for an audience and it catered toward that.

Loved Larry Mc and DW ripping into the cone guy - was pretty funny, thought they should have mic'ed him up!

Can you bring Rowdy out Bruce?? Would love to see him running "three wide all by himself" on one of our tracks, man he's spectacular.
The Cone Guy Stuff were classics
Bring Rowdy out with Stewart
Rowdy in Late Models and Stewart in Sprintcars

I really enjoyed watchin' the "Prelude" on One HD.
But, does anyone see the irony of Marcos Ambrose driving a late model?
Don't get me wrong, I think he's doing a decent job in NASCAR and I barrack for him every race.
Hey, he's an Aussie and he has almost single-handedly made the Aussie motorsports press (and the mainstream press a little bit) sit up & take notice of NASCAR.
But, isn't it ironic that, before he went to USA, I doubt Marcos even knew what a late model was; much less know we race 'em in Oz?
The Vosbergens, Blakes, Ludlows, Randalls, Tatnells, etc., etc. of this world must look on with a wry smile on their faces, don't you think?

The V8 Supercar Group has such a strangle hold on motorsport on the Australia Motorsport landscape, that for any driver to look sideways at another discipline would result in expulsion and would be banished!!
