As Jamie says, great job by the Van Wormer team. Dennis Erb Jnr 2nd, Ryan Unzicker 3rd.

Jeep held off a strong challenge by Jason Feger at mid distance, before Feger faded to finish 5th.

Shannon Babb finished 9th, Billy Moyer 10th.

Tuesday night the teams compete at Highland Raceway Illinois : Jeep won the UMP Summernationals A Main there in 2009.

Thats been a long standing joke.
The rule for this year's series was; 3 races in a row outside the top 5 and Jamie takes the wheel.
All ready had to cut him some slack once. LOL!!!

43 Cars at Highland Speedway (Tuesday June 22) for night 7 of the UMP Summernationals. 40 lap, $5000 to win show. 16 drivers have entered all 7 rounds thus far...

Kevin Cole topped Time Trials with a 13.613

Jeep Van Wormer posted a 14.235. Started off pole in his Heat but finished 2nd after Jason Feger got the jump from position 2.

Jeep starts from 7 in the Main.

Jack Sullivan currently leads the points chase from Shannon Babb.

Billy Moyer been way off the pace here....

Highland Speedway A Main : 1. Shannon Babb, 2. Jason Feger, 3. Rodney Melvin.

Babb has moved back to the top of the points ladder...

Jeep Van Wormer copped a flat tyre late in the race : 12th place finish.

Jason & his brother/crew chief Austin are great guys to hang out with. Jason was/is really keen to come the last time I spoke to him about it at the World. We tried to get him out with his own car with Jeep, BUT, the impression we're getting from most potential Australian car buyers is that they were not interested in his Pierce Chassis.
Getting 6 or so strong US drivers to come out would be easy if I had a budget, but waterjet cutting isn't paying that well. (thanks to the mining super tax proposal)!!!

I take it with a comment like that you have a business that deals directly with mining companies Alan just like Pocket Rocket does.. If he says that his business has just taken a hit i would believe that he might be right..

I think most of Australia's thinking population realise that a higher production cost (including taxes) = higher costs to us (retail). It's actually pretty simple.
