This Saturday night the Dirt Track Nutters in conjunction with Telethon are holding Western Australia's largest dedicated Speedway fundraising event for the Princess Margaret Children's Hospital. The Dirt Track Nutters are a committed group of Speedway fans that started out as a small Facebook group which has grown significantly into what is now one of Australia's bigger Speedway followings. As part of the evolving group the owners have used their growing popularity and their love of speedway to raise funds for the sick children of Perth. "We wanted to not only have a facebook site and promote Speedway but we thought we could do more and utilise the growing popularity of DTN and raise funds for the kids in hospital through Telethon" Said DTN's Jason Sutton. To company with DTN co-owner Scott Beattie they both approached the speedway racing community and were pleasantly surprised by the donations of so many outstanding items that will go under the hammer on Saturday night. "It's been fantastic to have so many different drivers and teams donate, as soon as we mentioned this was for the PMH kids and every dollar goes towards it we had an excellent response and variety of items up for grabs". As a teaser for Saturday night a few of the items up for grabs include.
