For those interested, there is a feature article in the latest Australian Muscle Car magazine about Gene Cook. I hope they continue these speedway features, great reading!

Fond memeories of Gene Cook, and the mighty #13 Olde Tudor Motor Inn Turbo Torana in action at Marlboro Park.
Left hand front wheel off the ground going down the straight.
The first Marlboro Grand Prix he run in was rained out on the Saturday night, and they resheduled it for the Sunday afternoon, it finished being a hot humid afternoon and I don't think he had power steering in the Torana-he held on for a great win for his first Grand Prix.
The little black Torana and Gene certainly stirred up the no hankee pankee yankees when they came to visit!
