    Mick Gibbons Sydney 45
    Richard Cullingham Sydney
    Jim Morris Lithgow 75

Next time juniors are on at PCR take a look at 74 driven by Danni King-Day and owned by Col Day her grandfather. It is painted the same as his mini no's 2 and 3 from the Sydney Showground driven by Bob Pymble and Wayne Evers

Did you know that Michael Gibbons won the VERY FIRST EVER EVENT AT PARRAMATTA CITY RACEWAY back in 1977.

I still have the program somewhere and he won event 1 at meeting No1.....

Wonder what ever happened to that car, would be worth a quid to any speedway historian.

Bernie, I heard a story a few years back where apparently a guy at Laurieton I think it his had Peter Grahams Silver Mini that he last ran at Liverpool at the first two asphalt meeting before retiring.

Apparently the car was still on a trailer surrounded by several other famous sedans of which several were mini's.

I heard that Ken Cox and Peter Graham tracked this guy down in the early nineties to buy it back but the guy would not budge.

I wonder if it was Lloyd Hoopers son. I have looked in the Mid North Coast Ph book but there is no Hooper. Apparently when Lloyd died the son came & picked up everything which included my car. the Burrell/Graham car & the Merv Wilson Grand national LHD "Camini" which was S/C & Fuel Injected Can Anybody help

I was wondering if it's too late to start a poll in this thread to see who was the Most popular Mini Driver in the 1970s

If someone can do it for me I would like the names to read like this,

    Peter Graham NSW
    Phil "Jacko" Jackson QLD
    Phil Page VIC
    Paul McKew NSW
Blair Athol can anyone from SA help me with that one?
    Barry Lewis NSW
    Vic Trimble WA
    Barry Harrison QLD
    Peter Taunton "Casper" ACT
    Geoff Bundy NSW
    Max DeJersey VIC
    Ian Marshall QLD
    Garry Pendry TAS
    Brian Burrell NSW

I know I have left out a lot of other peoples favorites but these guys were more known on the National Speedway Scene at the time...

If someone can do it for me and maybe make it where can make more than one pick if possible. Im not sure how the polls are made....

It was because of my Idol as a Kid Peter Graham that my first two racecars where Mini's

Wonder what happened to all of those cars, surely all of those famous cars didnt end up as land fill....

Phil Page in the Head Mod mini was extreamly fast
won the very first Australian Title, well thats how it was billed at the time.
Some mags had him listed as the first Aust title winner, then it was changed to winner of the unsanctioned Australian title.

    :)

I wish people if they have these famous minis would dust them off and bring them out for a run even just as a demo run.

Anyone looking for some great old Speedway Mini Memories log onto my new website.

    www.speedcardz.piczp.com

drop the pages window down and click on speedway minis, there is a pic of Barry Lewis, Peter Graham, Phil Jackson, Phil Page, Vic trimble and more.
