aww poor RD, maybe you should take up the fight on the behalf of those who know enough about computers to care how it works.

im too dumb to worry so i just use windows, seems to do the job ok.

is there anyway you can do anything your end to enable you to watch the abacast stuff?

Not a good choice of words Danny, maybe think before posting next time...

There are more people that do NOT use Windows than just me and it is not just Linux. Mac users miss out too. Aside from running Windoze, there is nothing can be done to watch SCW Abacast feeds, proven by the fact that Abacast themselves replied to a support ticket I submitted.

    See this thread: http://forum.australianspeedway.com/showthread.php?t=12035

Thanks jmj but I suspect there won't be any. I emailed Abacast re Linux or Mac support and this is what I got back:

"DRM" BTW means Digital Rights Management - an abomination from the big boys of the broadcast world. But enough of that....

hey RD what was wrong with what i wrote, i know that windows is rubbish but i dont know enough about computers to do anything about it really, for me i think it would be too hard to figure out how to use the other operating system.

all i was saying is you should get onto them (sprintcarworld) about how they should allow more than just windows in to view the abacast, just seems that you obviously know what your talking about.

it was supposed to be complimentary to you but anyways.

Working on Audio, at the moment there are a couple of hiccups, but keep looking on here for more info, will have tech in media box around 6.30 to 7pm Friday night to get it going, if not we will do our darndest for Saturday night.

We will be putting results up after each heat during the night.
