Sydney Race and Road Engine building specialists “Dominator Engines” are proud new sponsors of the 2003/2004 World Series Sprintcars Championship, presented by Proton Cars Australia.

Terry King, the well known former Speedcar racer now car owner and administrator within the NSW Speedcar Association, has been following the development of World Series Sprintcars with interest in the past few months and was only too happy to align his business with the Championship.

Both Terry and wife Debbie, the co-proprietors of Dominator Engines in Guildford, NSW, are excited about their new relationship with World Series.

“There are some really positive things going on in World Series Sprintcars at the moment and when the opportunity came along to support it we didn’t hesitate. I know we’ll get some good exposure for Dominator Engines nationally and this will no doubt boost our already strong interstate market,” says Terry.

Dominator Engines have been located in Guernsey Street, Guildford NSW for over 30 years and can be contacted on (02) 9681 3462.

They specialize in all facets of engine reconditioning including crankshaft grinding, line boring, cylinder head rebuilding, vintage engine work, building and maintaining of race engines and heavy machinery engine reconditioning amongst other services.

Though this new sponsorship might be seen as an unusual step for a man who is so passionate about his Speedcar racing the Kings are smart enough to know that the WSS Championship carries the eyes of the Australian Speedway community and attracts widespread exposure.

“I’ve always said,” concedes King, “that for Speedway in Australia to be healthy Sprintcar Racing needs to be healthy. Sprintcars are the shop window for our sport and so by supporting World Series Sprintcars we’re doing our part to ensure the rest of the sport is healthy too.”

Terry and Debbie also know a good chance to promote their first love, Speedcars, when they see it. Dominator Engines will use the Giant Video Screen opportunities afforded to Series Sponsors to show race fans some hot Speedcar action.
